Biography
The Pennsylvania House of Representatives adopted House Resolution 257 on June 8, 1984. This provided for the formation of the Select Committee to investigate Limerick II, a nuclear power generating station under the Philadelphia Electric Company. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission had suspended work on the project because residents and officials had underlying concerns that the nuclear station was not necessary. The Select Committee was responsible for investigating the need for Limerick II and determining whether or not there were less expensive alternatives which would make the cancellation of the project desirable.
