On December 15, 2005, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives unanimously passed House Resolution 537 which established a Select Committee to investigate the practice of rebating with respect to the sale of cigarettes in Pennsylvania. The Select Committee’s purpose is to investigate the facts in order to better understand the issues and allow the committee to make its required report to the General Assembly.
The Chair of the Committee was Raymond Bunt (R).
